The Girlfriend’s Corner is a safe space for all women who have experienced some sort of trauma or grief and desire to embrace their new beginning with power and purpose. April Daniels is no stranger to either, and continues to do the work while encouraging other women as they work through their own. TGC launched in 2022 with a four city tour that delivered #FaithInTheCity to women and even men. The testimonials where proof that the topics being discussed were removing the limitations that our experiences can bind us to. The work continues even after April founded Rock Out With Me in October 2014. The launch of a movement that was greatly welcomed by women of all walks of life. The heart behind it was to unite women with the goal of helping to promote a positive self image that reinforced a sisterhood, which cultivated healthy connections, and that still hasn’t changed. With over 2,500 women who participated in a four-city national tour, which covered Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and Washington D.C., closing out with Ebony Magazine as a partner. April took some time off due to life events, but with her return she plans to finish what she started. The need for authentic transparency and healing still very much exists and she’s prepared to continue with her movement that has been missed by many. Stay tuned.
